Sometimes, the person arranging a funeral lives far from where the ceremony will take place. Families are often surprised to learn that this doesn’t make it any harder for them to work with me. The care, attention and time I give to understanding your loved one’s story remain exactly the same - whether we meet in person or online.
When distance makes meeting face-to-face difficult, we simply connect over a Zoom video call. This allows us to talk, share memories and plan the ceremony together in much the same way we would if we were sitting in the same room. You can include other family members in the call too, wherever they are in the world, so that everyone has the chance to contribute.
The process stays familiar: I listen carefully, ask questions that help you reflect on what mattered most about the person, and guide you gently as we shape the ceremony. I then craft the script, incorporating your chosen readings, stories and music.
On the day itself, I will be there in person to lead the service, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that the ceremony truly reflects the life being honoured.
Grief and love are not limited by geography, and neither is the care that goes into creating a meaningful farewell. Wherever you are, we can work together to honour your loved one’s life - exactly as it was lived.
